How can I stop being a peeping tom?
I'd like to stop being a peeping tom, but I find it really difficult. Once every few months I'll notice an opportunity to see something exciting, and I almost lose control of myself. I almost can't help it.
For example, I was staying at my girlfriend's house and I heard her roommate having sex with her boyfriend in her bedroom. My girlfriend was still asleep and I went over and tried to see inside her bedroom to see them having sex. I couldn't see in, but I'm afraid they saw me - her door is glass with a curtain and my shadow would have appeared on the curtain to them if they happened to look over. I stood there for a minute, and then I got control of myself and went outside the house. Now I'm afraid they noticed. We were never great friends, but they seem more stand-offish now. They haven't said anything about it.
Temptations come up so rarely - once every few months - that I don't know how to practice self-control. I have to always be on my guard. Usually I am. Sometimes I'm not. And now I'm afraid I'll be caught. I know my girlfriend could never love me the same way if she knew I had this problem, so I'm not sure what to do. If her roommate knows and tells her, I'll be ruined.
